THE SANDS OF TIME
The Sands of Time Turned once again January 20th it all began Watching the hourglass Spray its sand Down into the bottom of the Hourglass stand
The Sands of Time A four year gait What will be left After the Earth has been raped Missile parades become the norm Citizens in fear Trying to weather the storm
The Sands of Time Continue to Spill Will anyone be left To dry all the tears The very fabric of life Shredded and torn Eyes searching the others Who are looking forlorn
The Sands of Time have just begun What will be left When our society Comes Undone? A tapestry of life That includes us all We are all one After all
Connected as neighbors Connected as friends Connected as families The connections don't end But what of the tapestry Torn and bare Will you be ready To make the repairs? How long will you wait How bad will it take How much suffering Will continue in the wake? That is the choice We all have to face
The Sands of TIme Continue to flow What will be left We have yet to know Towers will fall Pedestals will crumble Where will you be When the time runs out?
